I remember seeing Sabbath on their first American tour at the Fillmore East. A band like no other. A fan ever since. Hank, thanks for sharing.

Nice. By all accounts it was a great day with a ton of musicians having fun and paying well-deserved tribute. Long Live Black Sabbath.

As a kid, one of my uncles had all the early Sabbath albums that I snuck in listens to. That lead me down the Heavy Metal path in the early 80’s that eventually steered me towards Thrash and Punk/Hardcore. Sadly I never got to see Black Sabbath back then with Ozzy (Ian Gillian and Dio were fine, but not Ozzy) but Ozzy always held a soft spot for me.

I know a lot of people like me stopped caring about anything Ozzy had to do with once the reality shows and the Sharon onslaught came about along with the endless “final” tours.

I wish I could still care about this band. If it happened 20 years ago maybe, but this just feels like pure cash grab nonsense. I’m sure there will be 20 more Black Sabbath “concerts” with various other singers once Ozzy can’t just be propped up on a throne any longer.
